Firewood for Good (F4G) Program
Can you or someone you know use some help this winter staying warm, safe, and dry?
Are you finding it a challenge paying your gas, oil, electricity, or wood/pellet bills?
Do you have wood-burning equipment like a fireplace, wood stove, or wood boiler?
WE CAN HELP.
Here is the way to receive your firewood:
We cut to length, split, and stack for drying on our property prior to delivery. We measure the moisture content of the wood we deliver to be sure it is ready. We provide only hard firewood (many tree species, no pine).
F4G began in the late summer of 2024 with a group of hearty volunteers. GBRVUMC sent the word out about F4G to local public information sources like the Centre County Gazette. Local news and WPSU picked up the story. By November 2024, F4G had built racks, won a grant for equipment, and began processing quality firewood. By March of 2025, F4G provided 30 loads of firewood to our neighbors.
